Wed 25 Mar 2009 02:38:44 PM EDTSamson was our Public Relations goat. We bred him to be a "Cart Goat" and I drove him just as you would a horse. He was born on March 23, 2005, and passed away March 3, 2010. At over 300+ lbs he easily pulled two adults in our two wheel cart. He had his mother's sweet disposition, and his father's extreme height and over-all size. He was often seen in fairs, festivals, and holiday parades. He loved the attention, and the kids loved him. He will be greatly missed as our most gentle giant. His full sister, Alabama, kidded with twin bucks this year, and these Samson nephews will be our next to try and fill the "Big Guy's" harness. They are already displaying his people oriented nature. Pictures of their training will be posted as they mature. They are Andy and Barney (named for my husband's favorite TV show stars), born Febuary 28, 2010.
